Every guide on this site carries a named author with a real face and a profile page setting out their background, their expertise and how they check what they publish. That is deliberate: the majority of English-language guides to Malta's adult scene are published anonymously, under a first name, or under "Admin", and several of the errors this site corrects survive precisely because nobody's name was attached to them.

We do not run a roster of look-alike bylines to pad the site out, and we do not reuse a name or photograph on any other domain. One site, one identity. If a page is written by someone new, they get their own profile before their first byline goes live — not a placeholder.

Each profile sets out four things: where the writer is from and how they came to the subject, what specifically they know about, how they check what they publish, and what they refuse to publish. That last one matters more here than in most verticals. This site does not carry escort listings or claims about which massage businesses offer sexual services, and those are editorial decisions made by a named person who can be asked about them — not house policy hidden behind an anonymous masthead.

The statistics on each profile describe work you can verify against the pages of this site: guides published, venues documented with addresses, areas covered, corrections issued to claims circulating in other Malta guides. We do not present follower counts or subscriber numbers as credentials. A published audience figure is not expertise, and on a site covering this subject an inflated one would be a reason to trust us less rather than more.

Our writers are contactable. Corrections reach the editor directly and get priority over everything else we do, because the single biggest failure in English-language guides to Malta is not bad writing but claims that were true a decade ago and were never revisited. If something here is out of date, the fastest route to fixing it is telling the person whose name is on it.
