Terms & Disclaimer

The rules for using this site, the limits of what it tells you, and the disclosures that go with it. Last updated 26 July 2026.

Age restriction

This site is for adults aged 18 and over. It covers adult subject matter throughout, including sex work, adult entertainment venues and sexual health. If you are under 18, leave now. Note separately that Malta's legal drinking age is 17 and its age of consent is 16 — neither changes the 18+ rule for reading this site.

Information only — not advice

Everything on this site is general information for adults. It is not legal advice, not medical advice, and not safety advice, and it should not be relied on as any of those. Maltese law changes, venues close and reopen under new management, prices move, and events are cancelled. We date every page so you can judge how current it is, but you must verify anything you intend to rely on.

Where we describe the law — on prostitution, cannabis, consent, nudity or anything else — we are summarising our understanding for a general reader, not advising you. If a legal question matters to your situation, consult a Maltese lawyer.

No guarantee and no liability

We research carefully and correct openly, but we do not warrant that everything here is accurate, complete or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, injury, cost or consequence arising from your use of this site or from your reliance on anything in it. Your decisions and your conduct are yours.

Affiliate disclosure

SexInMalta is reader-supported and may earn commission from some outbound links. No venue, operator, promoter, hotel, event or dating app has paid to appear on this site, and none can. There is no rate card and no sponsored placement. Commercial relationships do not influence rankings, recommendations or criticism — see our editorial policy for the full statement.

Third-party businesses

We name venues, businesses and events for editorial reasons. We are not affiliated with them, do not represent them, and are not responsible for their conduct, pricing, door policies or safety. Naming a business here is not an endorsement of it, and several appear specifically so we can say we think they are poor value.

Illegal activity

Nothing on this site is an invitation to break Maltese law. We do not facilitate, arrange or broker services of any kind, we hold no contact details for anyone working in the adult sector, and we do not publish escort listings. Where the law prohibits something in Malta — brothel keeping, pimping, public soliciting, supplying drugs — we say so plainly and do not help you around it.

Content and copyright

The writing, research, tables and original photography on this site belong to SexInMalta. You may quote briefly with attribution and a link. Wholesale copying — a persistent problem in this niche, and the reason several errors we correct have spread so widely — is not permitted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. If you disagree with them, stop using the site. Questions: hello@sexinmalta.com.

Editor and Lead Writer · Gżira, Malta

Luke grew up in Birkirkara and spent six years working bars, doors and floors across Paceville and St Julian's before writing full-time. He covers Malta's nightlife, adult scene and dating — and corrects what visiting guides get wrong about it. Eight years watching one district from behind the bar, rather than across a long weekend.
